Training Unit Overview

  • The Training Unit is one of the core units of the Faculty, operating under the direct supervision of the Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. The unit aims to design and implement training programs and independent studies that meet the needs of both the Faculty and the local community, in accordance with university regulations and policies. It plays a key role in enhancing the professional and academic skills of staff and students, and in fostering collaboration across departments to achieve the Faculty’s strategic objectives.

Responsibilities of the Training Unit

  1. Supervision of Training Courses
  • Coordinating and scheduling the Faculty’s training programs and ensuring they are implemented according to the planned timelines.
  • Monitoring staff training at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels – Helwan University, and evaluating the effectiveness of the provided programs.
  1. Planning and Coordination
  • Proposing annual training plans for review and approval by the Faculty Council, and following up on their implementation.
  • Coordinating with department heads to identify and meet their training needs.
  1. Serving the Local Community
  • Designing and delivering specialized training programs tailored to the needs of the local community, contributing to environmental and social development.
  1. Administration and Evaluation
  • Managing the unit’s day-to-day operations and assessing the effectiveness of training programs to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Handling administrative tasks such as preparing reports and monitoring budgets.
  1. Continuous Development
  • Proposing new training initiatives that enhance the skills of staff and students, keeping pace with advancements in the tourism and hospitality sectors.
