Faculty of Tourism and Hotels Celebration of Orphans’ Day under the Sponsorship and active Participation of Manfoods – McDonald's Egypt

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Soha Abdel Wahab, and under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Sameh Gamal, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and in cooperation with the “Hadouta Siyahiya” (Touristic Tale) page managed by Dr. Nermin El Shafie, the Orphan’s Day celebration was organized on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, in the Grand Hall of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels.
The event witnessed the participation of numerous children, alongside active involvement from esteemed faculty members, the administrative staff, and supporting staff of the faculty. This collective effort left a profoundly positive impact and immense joy on the participating children.
During the event, Dr. Nermin El Shafie delivered a speech titled “Etiquette of Visiting Tourist and Archaeological Sites,” which highlighted the key points to consider when visiting such cultural and historical locations. The children showed great engagement and enthusiasm in response to the topic.
The Faculty of Tourism Student Union also played a significant role in the event by organizing several activities, including:
1. Chanting performances
2. Clay modelling and shaping activities
3. Puppet theatre
4. Distribution of commemorative gifts to the children
Manfoods – McDonald's Egypt generously sponsored and participated in the event by providing meals for the children and organizing various activities aimed at bringing happiness and joy to their faces.
