6- The Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management at Helwan University hosted a specialized workshop entitled “Using Artificial Intelligence Tools to Define the Research Problem” (Wednesday, May 1, 2024, the Grand Hall of the Faculty Hotel).
The workshop was held under the sponsorship and presence of Prof. El-Sayed Kandil, President of Helwan University; Prof. Emad Abu El-Dahab, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Hossam Refai, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; and Prof. Gamal Ali, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce. The workshop was organized under the supervision of Prof. Soha Mohamed Abdel Wahab, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, and Prof. Hala Ahmed Gomaa, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research Sector of the Faculty.
The workshop was led by Dr. Mohamed Youssef, lecturer at the Department of Hotel Management, and assisted by Dr. Mahmoud Saleh, lecturer at the Department of Tourism Studies. The event brought together faculty members, teaching assistants, and postgraduate students enrolled in both traditional and new academic programs of the faculty, in addition to participants from other faculties of Helwan University which are related to sector of humanities and social sciences.
Attendees gained valuable insights into the latest technological developments, with a focus on the use of artificial intelligence in academic research. The workshop included practical training on how to utilize AI tools effectively to identify and refine research problems.
At the conclusion of the event, a closing session was held to honor the contributors; Dr. Mohamed Youssef and Dr. Mahmoud Saleh were awarded for their leadership and the valuable content presented throughout the session. Prof. Fatma Abdel Aal, Professor at Hotel Management Department, was honored for her remarkable efforts in supporting the postgraduate sector through her role as Editor-in-Chief of the student activity “The Library Magazine”.
Prof. Salah El-Din Hilal, Associate Professor at Tourism Studies Department , was also honored for his international academic publications in prestigious journals indexed in Scopus. The organizing team was also honored. The faculty extends its gratitude to all participants and looks forward to continuing organizing future scientific and academic events through Postgraduate and Research Sector of the Faculty.
