2-The First Orientation Forum for Postgraduate Students (Monday, November 20, 2023)

Under the esteemed sponsorship  of Prof. Elsayed Kandil, President of Helwan University, and the gracious support of Prof. Emad Abu El-Dahab, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management held its first orientation forum for postgraduate students.

The forum was honored by the presence and participation of:

• Prof. Emad Abu El-Dahab, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research , Helwan University
• Prof. Hossam Refai, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Professor at Tourism Guidance Department  and former  Dean of the Faculty
• Prof. Soha Mohamed Abdel Wahab, Dean of the Faculty and Forum Coordinator
• Prof. Sameh Gamal, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development
• Ms. Farida Hashem, Assistant of General Secretary for Postgraduate Studies and Research
• Ms. Afaf Mohamed, Acting General Director of Postgraduate Studies and Research Administration

Also, heads of academic departments, faculty members, teaching assistants, administrative staff  of postgraduate studies department  , and a number of students from both traditional and new of  postgraduate programs, were attending the Forum .

Opening Remarks:

The forum began with welcoming speeches by:

• Prof. Emad Abu El-Dahab, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research
• Prof. Soha Mohamed Abdel Wahab, Dean of the Faculty and Forum Coordinator
• Prof. Hala Ahmed Gomaa, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Forum Advisor

Keynote Speakers:

The forum was further enriched by presentations from distinguished guest speakers:

• Prof. Hesham Raafat, Deputy Director of the Continuous Development and Project Follow-up Unit at Helwan University
• Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim, Library Specialist at the  Digital Library Unit, of Helwan University,  representing Prof. Naglaa Fathy, Director of the Digital Library Unit
• Prof. Salah El-Din Hilal, Professor at Tourism Studies Department  and former Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development at Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Beni Suef University.
